Thank Them with Chocolate!

New card today is sort of a chocolate box, but with a very thin gusset for the chocolate bar, this came from the leftovers after I made a Recipe Box using Graphic 45’s Home Sweet Home Collection.

The red poppies against the blue background, combined with the strawberry blossom and other berries, is simply eye catching! I had a bit of luck in finding stamens in my stash that went perfectly with the teal ink I selected for the main flowers! (The stamens on the strawberry blossoms were a little bit trickier, lol!)

This card measures not quite 3-1/2” wide by not quite 7” tall, and the pocket is about 1-1/2” deep (plus the extra 1/8” for the gusset.

I love sneaking a treat into my cards, and almost everyone loves chocolate! the gusset is made by scoring along the side, and then one score line over, scoring again. Glue the pocket down, and hold in place with clamps for a bit before gluing on the decorative paper.

(Take a 7” x 8-5/16” piece of paper for the base, score at 3-1/2”, 7”, and 7-1/16”, fold accordingly. Glue the inner decorative paper in, before gluing down the pocket.)

Thanks for stopping by!
