A Simple Wedding Card

This is a very simple card using the swans from Heartfelt Creations Calla Lily collection. I tried to copy one similar to this found on their DT Gallery.

This is part of an inspiration piece for “A Place to Start” card challenge for the month of June (2022) – and the theme is “Down the Aisle”

I used some generic deep pink for the background, and embossed the white overlay and the pink part of the heart. Then I lightly shaded the center of the heart with a pale pink. The heart was also cut out of a shiny gold paper, as were the swans, to add a little glitz. The sentiment I just typed and printed off my computer, backed it with some gold as well. The whole thing probably took less than an hour from start to finish!

Thanks for stopping by, and for considering our <a href="http://<a href=https://hereisaplacetostart.blogspot.com> A Place To Start challenge.

Hidden Pocket Cards

These cards were sort of copied from cards I saw on the Heartfelt Creations Facebook page.

This first one is using their Wild Roses paper, which I think may be my all time favorite of their papers! Also, it is extremely difficult to mess up on making the Wild Rose.

The second card is using their Calla Lily paper…….I just love the swans! I’m not so enamored of Calla Lilies, but the artwork is just beautiful.

Each of these has a hidden little pocket for a gift card, the best part!

I hope you enjoy, and feel inspired to duplicate this on your own!

Swans and Calla Lilies

This is a very simple slim line card, measuring about 8” long, and 3-1/2” tall. The Calla Lilies are made from vellum, as are the leaves. The swans are die cut out from the Heartfelt Creations paper, and lifted up with some thick tape, to add a bit of dimension. The bows of course just add to the feminine appeal.

Inside the card

This was fairly simple in construction, but I feel like it’s clean lines are actually very pleasing.

A Lovely Birthday Card with Swans

I had a lot of fun working on this Birthday card for my daughter last week. Mostly I have used Heartfelt Creations Calla Lily paper, but I just had to have some “water” for my swan, and found a sheet in my stash for the mama swan and her babies to float on. The calla lilies and roses are hand made, using HFC dies.

There are two tags in the inner pocket, and a mini “booklet” that has magnets to keep it closed.

I’m very pleased with how it turned out!
