Garden Lilies for the Win!

This “cover photo” gives you a tiny glimpse into my little scrapping area. It is all, just a corner of my family room – but everything is also basically within arms reach, as well.

I loved making this card! It has about 5 layers of card-stock on the front, and has a delightfully heavy feel to it.

I used the Garden Lily, and added some small Hydrangeas to tuck in there.

On the inside I stamped an image directly to the card, and had fun water coloring it last night. Just in time for Easter – obviously I don’t have the sentiment (from Creative Expressions) glued in yet – because I can’t decide if it’s for Easter or Mothers Day!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now get to crafting!!

G45 Slimline Easter Card

It’s a rainy weekend – we’ll at least today & tomorrow – I am unashamedly enjoying the fact that I only work 4 days a week! Of course these are generally 10 hour days, but still….

So this weekend I’ve been focusing on Graphic 45’s “Bloom” paper, which I’ve had for quite a while – in fact I have an entire mini- album using this paper – (here) – but it was calling to me again!

As per usual, these are handmade flowers, using the delightful dies from Heartfelt Creations, and Momento & Ranger Ink pads. I think my favorite part of making cards, is making the flowers dimensional ones. In fact, I plan on doing a little you tube soon using the G45 flower dies that came with the long tag, just to show how easy it is.

The gold sentiments are also die cuts, and I’m sorry I don’t remember the brand names, possibly Creative Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by!

An Easter Card for 2021

This is my first Easter Card this year! I really enjoyed making this – started last night, playing around with the daffodil, and then today I got several new sentiment die cuts in the mail, and one of them was the “Happy Easter” you see here. I think part of the reason I love this die cut, is because it almost looks like my actual handwriting! (Weird, huh!?)

So anyway, Heartfelt Creations came out with some new paper called (aptly enough) Delightful Daffodil. I should’ve bought two packs, the paper is that gorgeous! Luckily, I will be able to purchase a second pack when I place my next big order (I love the free shipping you get if you spend over $100).

Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, this collection is designed with no real dimensional flowers, so I had to create my own. This was a couple weeks of frustration, but I have finally come up with the magic, as you can see below.

Here’s the front.
How do you like the dimension on those daffodils? Even the hyacinths are
“off the page”
And here’s the inside.

The inside image is one of their stamps, which I cut out after coloring, to place beside the mini-message.

Easter is a time of Miracles, after all.
