Beautiful Lilies on Cards

If you play with some of these flowers, and springtime colored papers long enough, you might be able to forget that it’s not actually Spring outside yet!

Heartfelt Creations has come up with another sure winner in the Garden Lily collection – not that they ever fail to disappoint – but this is one of my top three favorites (the other two were the Wild Rose, and the Sweet Peony).

Now I recognize that Valentines has come and gone, but I still wanted to share these beautiful lilies, some call this the Star Gazer Lily, I always called it the Rubrum Lily – it’s one of the favorites of brides (back in the day when I used to make Wedding Cakes, this had to be made for almost every other cake) – and so I enjoyed fashioning out of paper, and adding some speckles, just like the real flowers have.

These yellow lilies remind me of early summer in my backyard. Tiny white snowdrops to accent the lilies help set them off, as well.

I love sharing my cards with you, my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by. Now get crafting!!

Love is in the Air!

Design #3 for February, and then I’m done….gotta play with something other than red for a while!!
The background paper is from G45 “Floral Shoppe”, the white die cut, swan and peonies & leaves from Hearfelt Creations dies (hand made by moi), and the lily of the valley are from an old generic punch. I’m sorry the gold embossing is catching the light there so much, couldn’t be helped!

Thanks for looking!

Love is in the (Lacy) Air

I have to give credit where credit is due, this was an idea I stole from a Facebook friend, and then I had to tweak it, and turn it into my own.

She had many many roses on her card, and they must’ve come out smaller than mine, but that’s ok, because I also added a shaker box where the heart is! Cute, huh?!!

Then I had to figure out how to keep it propped up, so I put a couple of pieces of paper in the middle to act as a brace.

This is definitely NOT a card you could mail, lol! It would get totally ruined in a box, or mailbox!

I had a lot of fun with this one, I really need to get off this Valentines kick, but I fear, there is more ahead!!

Getting Ready for Valentine’s (part 2)

This is actually from LAST year – so forgive me if this is a duplicate!

This is a tri-fold card from Heartfelt Creations, using one of their dies, and the swans are from their Calla Lily collection. The flowers are actually from the Cherry Blossom collection, just in a deep red. The scalloped edged heart has glitter on it as well, and the seams were embossed in glittery gold. The chipboard “forever“ sentiment I found at a local craft store. It’s a little frilly – but he liked it! (He likes everything I make! He’s nice like that!!)

Getting Ready for Valentine’s (part 1)

It’s a chocolate gift box!! I used the blue birds from the Heartfelt Creations Cottage Garden (Hydrangea set), and the mini flowers from the French Cottage Collection, for the tiny hydrangeas it’s an old punch I have. This came together very easily, and used one 12×12 piece of paper for the box, and the Fancy Flourish Border die cut in white. The background paper inside the box is from the Floral Borders collection.

Valentines Card

A Valentines card for my Sweetie using Heartfelt Creations new “gateway” dies, a few blossom, and swans from their Calla Lily paper collection. I added a bit of glitter to the swans on the front, probably overdid it!

Here are the close ups:

Probably too much glitter on the front swans, and it is very red, but I hope you like it!
