Heart Shaped Shaker Card with Wild Roses

Isn’t this just darling? This is the second one of these I’ve made – this time it wasn’t even for Valentine’s Day.

We used ScrapandMe’s paper, and a fancy heart shaped shaker box from Creative Embellishments (love that company!!) dies from Heartfelt Creations for the flowers, leaves and the the white lacy overlay, and the stamens. AND some tiny punched flowers and leaves in the corner there. This is just such fun to make, and stunning in presentation!

(Aren’t we lucky we have these amazing artists share their artwork with us on paper!! So lucky!!!)

Peacocks in The Window

I admit, I stole this from the Heartfelt Creations Gallery – one of the Design Team members created almost this exact card. I just thought it was precious! The window was a bit fiddly – l had to actually cut out around the window panes, and find a background view for the window – but the effect is stunning, isn’t it!

Once again, I just added a simple clematis flower in the top right hand corner. The shaped card uses one of Heartfelt Creations dies, as well, the Fancy Classic Rectangle Frame die – and I used one of the inner die cuts from it for the middle of the card. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions (I have rotten handwriting, and well, it looks better using their dies, doesn’t it!!)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and looking at my cards!

Birthday Greetings from Loveland

Enjoying this Gorgeous paper from Scrapboys! This is at least my 2nd card using this paper, maybe my third, and the more I look at it, the more I like it!!

One thing I realized after finishing this card: I need to stay true to my “style” – so many times I try to copy or emulate what other crafters do, but I am seldom happy with the results.

I like this one.

I used a Spellbinders die for the lacy center piece (and the corners on the inside) and my favorite flowers from Heartfelt Creations, the Classic Rose, Garden Lily, and some Lilacs.

The printed sentiment is from the paper pack, inside is from Creative Expressions,

A Hodgepodge Greeting Card

So this is a hodgepodge of Floral Banners paper for the background, gold lux beneath that. The “lace is from the “Sweetheart Borders”, with a ribbon left over from a dress I made for one of my granddaughters ages ago. The flowers are from the Classic Rose, Perfect Posies, and foliage from two different Christmas collections, plus leaves from the Leafy Accents.

Sentiment is the only thing not Heartfelt Creations, comes from Creative Expressions.

Personally I think I over did it on the flowers, but once I drew the circle and glued the first bit of foliage down, I was trapped!

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you enjoyed it!

Ornate Peacock Greeting Card

I really delayed on obtaining this particular collection. I just couldn’t decide if I really wanted it – you know, I have SO SO much Heartfelt Creations Paper & products!! But this wasn’t my thing. Until HFC decided to close shop! Then, I realized, I’d better get some of this, and get it fast!

Of course, the minute I created this card, my husband was enchanted, and said it was so nice to not have something just floral. Humph! But he has a point, so off I was, on my pursuit of all things pertaining to this collection – not easy, since they decided to close their doors – I had to go to several different retailers to obtain the dies (most important) and I am still missing one of the stamps!!

I added in a few pink clematis flowers, and some “feathery florals” embellishments to jazz it up.

I have since made several cards using this paper, and I love it so much! I hope you enjoy the next few cards I have from this beautiful paper collection as much as I have!

Hollyhock Flowers in the garden

This lovely card is a copy of one I saw on the Heartfelt Creations website a few months ago. This uses the Hollyhock Garden flowers and papers, and the Palace Garden die. Don’t you just love the shaped cards?

The sentiment here is from HFC Elegant Rose Frames – I cut it out 2-3 times to give it a bit more dimension.
