This is a simple card, and basically flat enough for mailing. I used Heartfelt Creations gateway dies as a template for my base, and cut the vibrant blue from the Regal Lattice Gateway die, as well as the bottom part of the butterfly. I have some pale green behind the lattice, to set the flowers off better.
The arch of daffodils and spray in the center were each cut straight from the paper pack (hard to beat perfection!) I added some organza ribbon near the bottom, and silver card stock for the top of the butterfly. Inside I have a sentiment I also die cut out of silver; and I stamped directly onto the card stock the same image, just mirrored. These were colored using my Zig Clear Color brush markers.
These cards were sort of copied from cards I saw on the Heartfelt Creations Facebook page.
This first one is using their Wild Roses paper, which I think may be my all time favorite of their papers! Also, it is extremely difficult to mess up on making the Wild Rose.
The second card is using their Calla Lily paper…….I just love the swans! I’m not so enamored of Calla Lilies, but the artwork is just beautiful.
Each of these has a hidden little pocket for a gift card, the best part!
I hope you enjoy, and feel inspired to duplicate this on your own!
This card features the new Dahlias from Heartfelt Creations, and some cherry blossom, also from Heartfelt Creations (an older collection) – I just thought the colors looked so good together.“
Also, my Mom loves Springtime, she’s so silly, she thinks winter starts mid-January!
A Valentines card for my Sweetie using Heartfelt Creations new “gateway” dies, a few blossom, and swans from their Calla Lily paper collection. I added a bit of glitter to the swans on the front, probably overdid it!
Here are the close ups:

Probably too much glitter on the front swans, and it is very red, but I hope you like it!
Today is the anniversary of my fathers death 4 years ago. It’s still hard on all of us, despite our getting to keep him for 80 years. I made this little card for my mom, who lives 12 hours away from me, alone with her 2 cats, and German Shepherd.
I used Mintay’s “Dreamer” paper, and dressed it up with some flowers I created this morning, the “Roses” are just made using an old Martha Stewart punch, the little tiny lavender flowers from a generic punch as well, and the leaves are from a G45 die. The silver oval is an Heartfelt Creations die cut that I trimmed a little bit to show more of the pretty paper.
If you prop it just so, it is an easel card as well. I hope you like it!
Using a mix of papers from Heartfelt Creations, I’ve created a very special card, for a very special someone. This card has tags, and room for a Special photo, (or two) as well!
These little birdies are just so stinkin’ cute!! Also I’m in love with all the decorative Lacey dies, and you can see I incorporated several in this card. Here is a little video for you to see.
Just a couple of designs, mixing it up, and trying for the Shabby chic look.
I used several doily type die cuts, gossamer ribbon, and Vellum flowers on one of them, the other has a standard paper flowers in the center and vellum for the others, all handmade, using the Heartfelt Creations dies, of course!
I just love this lacy die (white piece)
I even used vellum for the butterflies!
Paper is some Tim Holz I found at Tuesday Morning, it’s about 5”x 8” and has a fabric feel to it – very interesting and fun to work with.
Merry Christmas everybody! This is my final card of the season, I have a lot of company coming this week, and really must clean off my desk!
This is an easel card, using a retired Heartfelt Creations paper collection – I am really upset with myself for not buying more of it before they retired it! I just love the cardinals, especially since our yard is full of them!
There are a couple of photos here to show more detail, enjoy!
This is the “absolute” front of my cardHere is the card shown with the easelInside viewFlower DetailSentiment detail
I’m branching out….not very far, but a wee bit, to explore other decorative paper companies. This past week I received the Birds & Booms from Little Birdie Crafts, I had been wait listed for so long, I almost forgot about it!
This paper is thick, very thick. Think cover of a paperback book thick, and add some weight to it. It is also very glossy, on both sides, both the white & decorative side. That being said, I used a lighter weight paper for my card base, about 60#.
This first card measures 5”x7”. As you can see, I have used some hand made roses and blossom, and borrowed the sentiment from a different paper pack. This is the inside, aren’t these little birds adorable!! The right side (white background) features a circular punch out from the collection, and a strip from the embellishment page. On the left (pink background) the sentiment was fussy cut from the collection, and the white lace piece is a die cut from, guess where? Heartfelt Creations. This is actually the first card I made from the collection, measuring 6”x6”. I used a white die cut bird cage, and a hand colored butterfly for the upper corner, and an organza lavender ribbon with two handmade purple petunias, and a bright pink flower in the center. The inside of this card has a pocket (right above the wood slats) which I tucked a little ephemera card in to. Perfect for a sweet message of friendship.
This entire card probably took a mere 90 minutes to put together, since I already had the flowers made, and in my stash for “emergencies “!
