Peacocks in The Window

I admit, I stole this from the Heartfelt Creations Gallery – one of the Design Team members created almost this exact card. I just thought it was precious! The window was a bit fiddly – l had to actually cut out around the window panes, and find a background view for the window – but the effect is stunning, isn’t it!

Once again, I just added a simple clematis flower in the top right hand corner. The shaped card uses one of Heartfelt Creations dies, as well, the Fancy Classic Rectangle Frame die – and I used one of the inner die cuts from it for the middle of the card. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions (I have rotten handwriting, and well, it looks better using their dies, doesn’t it!!)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and looking at my cards!

Weekend Play

These are what looks to be, some of my last Heartfelt Creations projects! 😥. The HFC team announced last month that they will be closing their doors at the end of the year, and presumably, retiring the brand. We have 3 or 4 new collections ahead of us, and then, no more!

Well, I still have several Mother’s Day cards to create, and this weekend, I did SIX! An amazing accomplishment for me, since I have other things to do besides play at the Craft Table, lol!

The first two here include a couple of collections – actually several. The pink includes the photo frame from the 12 x 12 Insta Album, and elements from Feathery Florals, Climbing Clematis, Sweet Peony, and the (retired) Dogwoods.

The light blue one (and the pink too, actually) used the slimline dies – scalloped rectangles, and the elegant Slim Gateway Rectangle, as well as he bird from the Cascading Petals, Sweet Magnolias, and even some fillers from the Festive Holiday collection!

The two below used the Decorative Dragonfly, and let’s just say, an assortment of leftover flowers from several projects – but ALL Heartfelt Creations dies.

And we still have about 10 more cards to go! I’ll get you caught up on my other makes as he days go by – I’ve just been so busy crafting – but not busy snapping pictures.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Go get your craft on!

A Few Mothers Day Cards

Isn’t it strange when you realize, oops! Forgot to post those!!

I spend so much time creating, sometimes I forget to photograph, and sometimes I get my photo, but am lazy about sharing!

I like to make 80-100 Mothers Day Cards every year, the above is one of my new favorites – making the Shaker Box was actually pretty easy – especially since all the lines are straight!

I was in a Climbing Clematis mood this day! This one is modeled after one I saw on Heartfelt Creations gallery, done by a lady on their design team.

And last, but not least. . . Tried to add gossamer wings to my butterfly there, by using some vellum, photo doesn’t really do it justice, I’m afraid.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope I’ve inspired you to create something beautiful today!!

Graphic 45 Birthday Challenge

It has been a long long summer! I don’t remember ever having felt this way before, but this year has been very difficult, especially for my sweet husband, David. He lost his mother in June, and his father at the end of August. We also had a long (but wonderful!) trip overseas – and came home to find out that the pool man AND the lawn guys hadn’t come to our house for 3-1/2 weeks! The pool was greenish-brown, the lawn was a ragged little jungle, and we had jet lag! On top of all that, earlier in the summer, we had the (white privilege, I know) joy of getting our air conditioner replaced! So I did my best to prepare items for this blog before we left on our trip, but have fallen behind since coming home. . . .

The old saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder” certainly applies to crafting (and swimming!!) – but I’m back in the swing of it now. I was excited to see G45 have a Birthday challenge, as their founder celebrates a birthday this month. This card uses their Fairy Wings collection & some fomiron flowers I crafted.

I veered from my usual pink and purple themes (it is September) and aimed to match the pale orange/ coral color with my flowers – I edged the white flower with a Zig marker, as I have NO coral or apricot type color among my ink pads.

For the inside, I got lazy and used one of the cut-aparts. The sentiment is a Sue Wilson die from Creative Expressions.

A Mother’s Day Card

So I have a goal of creating 50+ Mother’s Day cards this year, to give to a Nursing Home on Mother’s Day. You will see the “Happy Mother’s Day” message a LOT this coming year! This is one using a collection from the spring, the Climbing Clematis, and is on a 6” x 6” card base.

I also added a cute little pop of butterflies from the Floral Butterfly collection, and stuffed some tiny pale pink blossom in there which I fashioned from the Wisteria die, just to fluff it out a bit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Climbing Clematis cards

I have been remiss in posting on here! Life has gotten much busier, now that it is summertime, and we are spending our spare time visiting Florida’s Natural Springs, beaches and family!

I actually have been crafting, and have been enjoying working with Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolia, and Climbing Clematis collections.

In fact, I’ve been tweaking the Clematis and making it into smaller Dahlias. The magnolia has many possibilities, and each of these stamp and die sets have three different sizes. I enjoy generally clustering my flowers in odd numbers, like 3 and 5, and will often make three of the larger flower, and two smaller, or one large and two smaller.

This is an example of a combination of Dahlia paper, and clematis turned into Dahlias. Isn’t the birdhouse just adorable?!! And I love the Creative Expressions sentiment in the corner: Happy Everything!
This is actually sort of a postcard. The back is just decorative paper.
