I saw a post by a lady on Facebook, using Heartfelt Creations paper and dies to make a tie-fold card (Kirsten Muehlen). It was adorable!! Anyway it got me going on a roll, and I have here, 5 little tri-fold cards made from 5 different Heartfelt Creations paper collections. They each measure about 4×6 when closed. The middle panel cover on all these hides a sketch pad – the nice kind meant for water coloring!
I was rummaging around upstairs and found this lovely paper from last year. Graphic 45’s “Cottage Life” collection – I have quite a lot of it, not sure how it got hidden away!
I also happened upon this pink floribunda rose that I thought would set it off beautifully. I used the Heartfelt Creations large Wild Rose die, and added a bit of glitter to the edges of the petals, and leaves. Too fun! ( Glitter is my middle name, lol!) I tucked a couple of spare hydrangeas around it, and added a gussied up bow too.
I found a little oval die cut in my stash that I used behind the statement in front; it’s amazing, really, how much stuff I used from my stash in this little card! Even inside – I had found 3 honey sticks given to me by a friend, so I added a little extra glue on the inside pocket to keep it from sliding (making a very narrow pocket especially for the honey stick) and put a little flag on top of one to catch the eye.
And voila! A pretty card in just a couple of hours!
This lovely is created using Lemon Craft’s “Forget Me Not” papers, as well as Heartfelt Creations dies from the “Cascading Petals” (the bird & branch) and Hydrangeas from their Cottage Garden Hydrangea collection, as well as he “Fancy Flourish Boarder” die.
Actually I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stop using HFC paper and dies, I own so many of their collections, I’ll probably have paper left even when I die.
This first card uses LemonCraft paper, a wooden chippie for the clock (so cute!), and HFC flower dies to make the Hydrangea and Lilies.
This second card comes from Scrapboys, wish I could remember the name of the collection right off, but isn’t that center image just gorgeous!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I’ve inspired you to create something beautiful today!
This “cover photo” gives you a tiny glimpse into my little scrapping area. It is all, just a corner of my family room – but everything is also basically within arms reach, as well.
I loved making this card! It has about 5 layers of card-stock on the front, and has a delightfully heavy feel to it.
I used the Garden Lily, and added some small Hydrangeas to tuck in there.
On the inside I stamped an image directly to the card, and had fun water coloring it last night. Just in time for Easter – obviously I don’t have the sentiment (from Creative Expressions) glued in yet – because I can’t decide if it’s for Easter or Mothers Day!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Now get to crafting!!
Sweet Hydrangea from Heartfelt Creations….inspired by a card from the ubiquitous Kathy Clements. I haven’t used this collection for quite some time, but spent part of my Sunday playing around with it. I have fallen in LOVE with shaker boxes — it’s hard to tell without a video, but behind the little window are some tiny silver sprinkles (star shaped!) – shaker boxes are so easy when you have a kit! Thank you Creative Expressions!!
This starts off with generic cardstock -about 5×7” for front and back, with a 1/2” gusset, and a 1-1/2” pocket inside. I cheated and die cut the window from the paper pack, and used a kit for the shaker box (hidden behind the window), that made things super easy!!
The flowers were fussy cut from the paper pack, as I (stupid stupid!!) didn’t purchase the die that goes along with them, and used light blue small pearl stamens for the centers. The bows are cute little ribbon found at a local craft store, and the lacy piece on top is one of HFC dies as well.
Inside I have a couple of interactive pieces, including a card with mini tags, and there is room on the pocket for a treat, like a honey stick, or slip candy bar, as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you’ve enjoyed it!!
This card is a true example of simplicity – the image is a preprinted 4×6” card front from the Heartfelt Creations “Cottage Garden” (Hydrangeas) collection, that has a little scalloped edge around the center & some glittery accent sprinkled in it. The sentiment was easily stamped in, and then I just added some blue flowers and leaves on top of where they were in the image to give dimension.
