Travel Journal a la G45

I wanted to make a little journal for my niece before she went off on her mission, and couldn’t find a G45 travel journal that would arrive “in time”. So I had to craft my own!

This uses Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolias collection (one of my favorites).

A small little pocked inside the front cover for a tag – you could put a photos on the tag, and even one right behind it.

There are three ‘Reciepts” in this, little mini books, this one has lined paper, for perhaps journaling.

Pocket in the back cover of the first receipt.

Front and back covers of the first two receipts.

Front and back covers of the 2nd and 3rd receipts.

Pockets and more pockets!!

This receipt has graphic paper, for perhaps a bullet journal.

Another pocket on the back cover, with another tag.

A fun little project, that will come back full of memories!!

Trifold Cards from Heartfelt Creations Scraps

I saw a post by a lady on Facebook, using Heartfelt Creations paper and dies to make a tie-fold card (Kirsten Muehlen). It was adorable!! Anyway it got me going on a roll, and I have here, 5 little tri-fold cards made from 5 different Heartfelt Creations paper collections. They each measure about 4×6 when closed. The middle panel cover on all these hides a sketch pad – the nice kind meant for water coloring!

Blooming Magnolia Gift Envelope

As some of you may be aware, one of my favorite Scrapbook paper companies, Heartfelt Creations, will soon be closing its doors. While I am sad about this, I am also a little bit relieved! because now I can feel less guilty for branching out to my NEW favorite companies, all of which seem to be based in Poland! (Odd, I know – and I don’t think I have a drop of Polish blood in me!!)

This lovely paper is from Scrapandme’s Blooming Magnolia. I have used a HFC die or two, for the lacy bits, and the Magnolias. This came together super easy with a 6 x 12 base, folded then Col erred with the decorative paper.

A bit of fussy cutting on the very back, to include more lovely flowers.

Thanks for looking!!

Weekend Play

These are what looks to be, some of my last Heartfelt Creations projects! 😥. The HFC team announced last month that they will be closing their doors at the end of the year, and presumably, retiring the brand. We have 3 or 4 new collections ahead of us, and then, no more!

Well, I still have several Mother’s Day cards to create, and this weekend, I did SIX! An amazing accomplishment for me, since I have other things to do besides play at the Craft Table, lol!

The first two here include a couple of collections – actually several. The pink includes the photo frame from the 12 x 12 Insta Album, and elements from Feathery Florals, Climbing Clematis, Sweet Peony, and the (retired) Dogwoods.

The light blue one (and the pink too, actually) used the slimline dies – scalloped rectangles, and the elegant Slim Gateway Rectangle, as well as he bird from the Cascading Petals, Sweet Magnolias, and even some fillers from the Festive Holiday collection!

The two below used the Decorative Dragonfly, and let’s just say, an assortment of leftover flowers from several projects – but ALL Heartfelt Creations dies.

And we still have about 10 more cards to go! I’ll get you caught up on my other makes as he days go by – I’ve just been so busy crafting – but not busy snapping pictures.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Go get your craft on!

All the Best – Sapphire Days

I love this lovely blue paper from Scrapandme papers! Personally, in retrospect, I should have made the flowers a bit more pale, but they are close to the same shade.

I almost always use flower stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations, and these are called the Sweet Magnolia. The arched gateway die is one of my favorite shapes for cards. I used the edge from one of the papers for the middle part, and tucked the magnolias around the corner. Don’t you love the fancy stamens? I think they call them “rock candy” stamens.

The inside panel uses a paper from another Scrapandme collection (Aquarelles), and a cut-out from the Sapphire Days paper, using a very old “Creative Memories” circle cutter. There is plenty of room to write a sweet Mothers Day message below.

I really am loving these beautiful papers from Poland, and (again) am just so excited to have found a shop in the US that carries them! I am entering this in the Challenge # 92 – For Mom, from the Scrapandme blog.

Fairy Wings Shaker Card/Folio

I’m in love with Graphic 45’s Fairies – whether its the Fairy Dust or Fairy Wings paper, they are both just adorable. This card is really sort of like a folio/gift card, as you will see – the inside has a pocket that has goodies inside. This is another card I may enter into a DT contest.

The flowers were made using fomiron (thin thin foam sheets) and Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolia (small) dies, and the medium Cherry Blossom dies – then I hit them with just a touch of heat from the heat gun (low heat) to get things to curl just so.

The sprinkles were from “Buttons Galore” – its a cool little shop that tells you how many spoonfuls of each different kind of sprinkle you will get in your package, and they have lots of variety!

I made the shaker element by hand – somewhat trickier than the premade kits – I had a couple of heart shaped dies, clear cardstock, and about 1/4″ wide strips of sticky foam to lift it up. All this stuff was in my “stash” – the sprinkles, the foam, the ribbon – its amazing how well it all came together. The ribbon was from Hobby Lobby, I think.

Isn’t this just precious? The colors go so well together!

Here’s the inside there’s a little booklet, a tag or two, and a treat!

Climbing Clematis & Sweet Magnolia Cards

In the evenings, I like to make flowers, and dream up designs for cards. On Fridays and Sundays I try to actually make the cards or folios. I’m even trying to branch out from Heartfelt Creations, but they just have such adorable designs!!! This is more Climbing Clematis and a Sweet Magnolia card.

Forgot my message, didn’t I? Sometimes I just want to decide later who I’m giving the card to, and for whatever occasion is called for.
Here’s the inside 😊
